Una is our homebred girl out of our foundation female, Booshka. We drove over to Germany to mate Booshka to a DDR male called Jamiro and what litter it turned out to be! Una was a very special puppy right from the start, affectionately named Trouble, she unfortunately became stuck in the birthing canal causing Booshka to have to undergo an emergency C Section. Convinced Miss Trouble wasn't going to make it, we were all surprised to find her very much alive and well post surgery. She has become to cornerstone of our breeding lines not just in the quality of puppies she produces, but also her outstanding mothering skills and her bombproof character.

Una is smart, driven, athletic and super responsive. She is a people pleaser by nature and just enjoys every moment of attention she gets, whether that is from her family or a total stranger. She has a heart of gold and never has a bad word to say about anything. From previously living in a busy town we moved to the rural Scottish Borders back in 2019, when Una was just 18 months old. Having never seen a sheep up close an personal, she shocked us all when she adopted an injured orphan lamb that somehow found its way into our home. She very quickly took him under her wing becoming the ultimate mother and caregiver. She shared her bed in the kitchen with him and cleaned him daily, a beautiful friendship that really highlights Una's true outstanding character. While we have not had another pet lamb quite as pampered like Joey was, we do often have poorly newborn lambs that have to spend some time in the house and Una is never far away. 

She has also been a foster mother to a litter of Labrador puppies that sadly lost their mum. While she could not feed them, she was the perfect mother caring for them as if they were her own.

Una really is a bombproof girl who can be taken anywhere and trusted with anyone. She has travelled across to Europe twice now and is completely unfazed by anything thrown at her. Ferries, trams, busy city centres, buses, hotels, restaurants... she is so environmentally stable and completely none reactive under any circumstance, we regularly use her as a stooge dog. Her favourite thing in life, outside of being a mother, is water! Una now nicknamed Tuna Fish would swim to Norway if we let her.

Una is now retired from breeding having had 4 litters of her own and we are honoured to have two of her daughters here to continue her legacy. Both are proving to have inherited her top tier mothering ability, one who inherited from her own mother Booshka. Una is not only passing on her good nature but also her good looks and health. She has over 9 progeny health tested with all 9 scored with 0/0 elbows and the highest hip score being 7/7. She has several other progeny xrayed clear but not officially scored.
